Benedikt Köppel

Benedikt Köppel grew up in Graubünden, Switzerland and went to high school in Chur from 2001 to 2006. After graduating from high school in 2006, Benedikt did an internship as IT System Engineer at EMS Chemie where he was responsible to migrate the interal search engine to a more powerful and efficient solution.

He studied Electrical Engineering with focus on IT Security at ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) from 2007 and graduated from university with his Bachelor of Science degree in 2010. During his college time, Benedikt worked part time as IT System Engineer at ETH Zurich. Since 2011, he works as IT Analyst at UBS Investment Bank in Zurich.

In 2005, Benedikt founded the robotics association “Helveticrobot” and started to build mobile, autonomous robots together with two friends from high school. To date, the association has 18 members. In his leisure time, Benedikt teaches the students in electronics and programming and coaches them on the preparation to various international competitions.
