Benedikt Köppel is founder and CTO of Locatee. Locatee is the leading Workplace Analytics solution that empowers Corporate Real Estate managers to make fact-based decisions about their real estate portfolio by transforming complex data into space utilisation insights.
Previously, he has worked as RedHat Enterprise Linux System Engineer at ETH Zurich, IT Analyst at UBS Investment Bank, and Product Owner and Head of 3D Consumer Applications at Dacuda (later acquired by Magic Leap). Benedikt has studied Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich.
In 2005, Benedikt founded the robotics association Helveticrobot where high school students students learn the basics about mechanics, electronics, and software development and build mobile, autonomous robots to compete in various international competitions. To date, over 50 high school students have participated in Helveticrobot. The team has won the robotis world championship title in 2011 and 2015, and came 2nd in 2012.
